Episode 103: Trump deports Brown University Doctor against Court Order

President Donald Trump and his administration violated a THIRD federal district court order! This time, Donald Trump deported a Brown University doctor and professor. Trump's administration claims Dr. Rasha Alawieh's deportation was due to security risks from her native Lebanon, from where she was returning after a family trip. Officials found pictures of Dr. Alawieh at a funeral for a Hezbollah leader while visiting her native Lebanon, along with other pictures of Iranian leaders. Upon her return to the United States, Dr. Alawieh was detained and prevented from coming back into the country.

Attorneys immediately filed lawsuits to keep Dr. Alawieh in the country while her visa status was reviewed, with her lawyers claiming she was denied due process under the Constitution. US District Court Judge Leo Sorokin issued an order preventing her removal "without forty-eight hours prior notice to the Court." However, despite this court order, Dr. Alawieh was deported the same night.

Judge Sorokin demanded explanations from Trump's attorneys and administration, and the case continues in the court. In the meantime, members of Congress have already called for the impeachment of Judge Sorokin for his court order and for his disagreements with President Trump.
